Riverhead, NY (May 31, 2019) – The principal of Riverhead High School has been accused of sexual abuse by another alleged victim, according to police. Authorities have stated that Dr. Charles Regan is possibly facing more charges as of Friday, May 31st after allegations against him surfaced earlier this month.
Regan was recently arrested for sending sexually explicit photos to an 18-year-old Riverhead High School student, identified as Anastasia Stapon. That victim also claims that Regan called her into his office at the school and forcibly kissed her. Now, a second alleged victim has come forward, accusing Regan of sexually assaulting her 17 years ago at the Eastport-South Manor Public School.
The victim stated that Regan, who was a teacher and coach at the time, used alcohol to coax her into sexual intercourse when she was a 16-year-old student. The investigation into Regan, who may have been preying upon students for numerous years, is currently ongoing.
