Kennedy Airport, NY – 30 People Injured Due to Severe Turbulence Caused by Airplane

Kennedy Airport, NY (March 10, 2019) – Severe turbulence caused injuries in up to 30 people in an incident that took place yesterday afternoon at the Kennedy Airport.

Allegedly 28 people were taken to the Jamaica Hospital Medical Center after the plane touched down at 5:35 p.m. Two people were taken to the Queens Hospital Medical Center with the most serious injuries, but many had injuries like bumps, bruises, cuts, and broken bones.

Many of the people involved in the accident were treated inside an airport terminal. The turbulence was encountered roughly 45 minutes before landing at the airport. The crew found the passengers with injuries and declared it an emergency while they were in the air.

The plane was carrying over 300 people at the time.
