What is the most rewarding case you have handled?
One of my most interesting cases is a case that I worked on, probably, two years after Mike and I started our practice. The young man that was involved in this accident was driving a vehicle, made a left-hand turn across a lane of traffic, and was struck by a Mack truck. He was a vibrant, young kid, very nice kid. On the ticket that was given to the truck driver for not yielding to the vehicle, they wrote “Fatal”; they thought he had died. Went to the hospital, met with his family, stayed with him, became very close. To this day, he’s got a traumatic brain injury. He’s got a difficult life, but we managed to make that a little bit nicer for him, a little bit nicer for his family. To this day, I still keep in touch with him. His case was over six years ago, I talk to him three, four times a week, take him out on the weekends occasionally. It’s very nice. That’s the very rewarding part of my job.
