Mattituck, NY – Oakdale Couple Killed in Small Plane Crash Mattituck, NY (June 10, 2019) – Authorities have identified the two people who were tragically killed in a small plane crash that occurred on Saturday morning, June 8^th, in a field. The fatal accident happened around 9:00 a.m. in a field at Harbes farm. Officials stated that Robert Mark, 66, and his girlfriend, 57-year-old Susan Quagliano, both of Oakdale, were the pilot and sole passenger, respectively, in the aircraft that took off from MacArthur Airport. The plane was traveling to Massachusetts when Mark used the radio to report experiencing engine trouble. The plane went down in the aforementioned field, sadly resulting in the deaths of both Mark and Quagliano. According to officials, no one on the ground was injured in the incident. The FAA and the NTSB are actively conducting a thorough investigation into the cause of the crash.
