Bronx – NYC Teacher Arrested and Charged for Child Pornography
The Bronx, NY (April 4, 2019) – Police announced the arrest of a New York City public school teacher on Wednesday morning, April 3
rd. According to police, 41-year-old Jonathan Schweitzer was placed under arrest at his home in the Bronx and is currently facing charges for child pornography.
Until his arrest, Schweitzer had been working as a teacher at Belmont Preparatory High School, where he had been employed since 2007. During an investigation of the dark web, federal law enforcement reported having that found Schweitzer shared approximately ten videos between February and March 2019.
According to authorities, the videos primarily contain very young boys engaged in sexual acts with men, as well as each other. The videos were allegedly kept of the teacher’s home computer and laptop. Schweitzer has been charged with possession of receipt and distribution of child pornography at this time.
