Hannibal, NY – Woman Killed in Ultralight Aircraft Accident Hannibal, NY (June 24, 2019) – A woman was tragically killed following an Ultralight Aircraft crash that took place on Sunday night, June 23^rd, in the town of Hannibal. According to authorities, the fatal accident happened around 8:10 p.m. for reasons that are being investigated at this time. Police stated that 74-year-old Jeanette M. Reyner, of 582 66 Road, Hannibal, was operating her privately owned 1997 Ultralight Aircraft in the vicinity of her home. Reyner was reported to have been in the air for approximately 35 minutes when she began to head back towards the runway, which is located behind her home. As the small plane was approaching the runway, several witnesses heard the engine cut as they lost sight of the aircraft. The witnesses then heard a crash from behind a tree line and a family member quickly called 911. Tragically, Reyner was pronounced dead at the scene and authorities continue to investigate the cause of the crash.
