Jonathon Aronoff is an attorney at Hach & Rose, LLP, representing survivors in sexual abuse litigation. With more than 23 years of legal experience, he focuses on complex abuse claims in New York and interstate institutional cases, including matters involving sex trafficking and claims against religious and other organizations.
Mr. Aronoff is admitted to practice in New York and in the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York. Over the course of his career, he has devoted his practice to representing individuals rather than corporations. Prior to joining Hach & Rose, he advocated for students and parents in special education disputes against the New York City Department of Education and represented injured construction workers in personal injury matters. His work has consistently centered on standing up for individuals navigating difficult and often intimidating systems.
He was drawn to the legal profession by a deep interest in constitutional law and the philosophy of justice, and he remains motivated by the opportunity to help people who have been harmed seek accountability. In sexual abuse litigation, he understands that many survivors come forward after years of feeling unheard. He approaches each case with the belief that, while an attorney may handle many matters, for the client, their case is deeply personal and deserving of focused attention, care, and respect.
Mr. Aronoff earned his undergraduate degree from American University and his Juris Doctor from the University of Denver College of Law. He is a member of the American Bar Association, the New York State Bar Association, and the New York State Trial Lawyers Association.
Outside of his practice, Mr. Aronoff enjoys spending time with his family, traveling for his son’s hockey commitments, snowboarding, and reading voraciously.
