Gregory grew up in a union household. His father was a respected labor leader in New York, and the lessons that came with that upbringing — that leadership is earned through preparation, honesty, and showing up for the people counting on you — shaped the practice he went on to build. He served in the United States Air Force and has been a member of the International Union of Operating Engineers for close to 25 years, representing the very union his family has been part of for decades.
That background is not incidental to his legal work. Gregory is known throughout New York for representing members of organized labor in mass tort actions involving prescription drug liability, asbestos exposure, and serious personal injury, and he has recovered millions of dollars for union families across the country. He also developed LOHRSOFT, a software system that helps union health plans and their members identify injuries and illnesses that may entitle them to financial recovery they would otherwise never have known to pursue.
Gregory and Michael A. Rose founded Hach & Rose on a straightforward idea: injured people deserve a lawyer who knows their name, returns their calls, and is genuinely prepared to take the case to verdict if the insurance company will not do the right thing.
