Henrietta, NY – Five Workers Injured Following Chemical Spill Henrietta, NY (March 11, 2019) – Two people were critically injured among a total of five people who were hurt following a chemical spill that occurred on Monday morning, March 11^th. The incident reported as a Level 1 hazmat situation, was stated to have occurred around 9:30 a.m. at a building located on Jefferson Road, in the vicinity of North Winton Road. At the time of the spill, there were less than 100 people in the building and each was able to make it out before emergency responders arrived. Firefighters, paramedics, and police arrived at the scene after a chemical known as MDI spilled from a tank for unknown reasons. Schlegel Systems originally owned the building, which has been bought by Amesbury Truth, and the spill was reported to have happened during a relocation operation. Authorities stated that the injured workers were harmed by the vapors that were let out following the incident. Two people are in critical condition as the others suffered minor injuries.
