Elmont, NY – Man Charged with Sexually Abuse of 14-Year-Old Girl
Elmont, NY (July 3, 2019) – Police have arrested a 24-year-old man who turned himself in on Tuesday, July 2nd after he was reported to have sexually abused a 14-year-old girl. The incident took place at a birthday party in Elmont on Sunday, June 30th, according to authorities.
Police stated that 24-year-old Alex Rivera, who was a guest at a birthday party, entered the girl’s bathroom and sexually assaulted a 14-year-old girl. The girl’s father stated that he noticed he hadn’t seen his daughter in a little while as of 4:00 a.m.
Rivera allegedly met the girl in the bathroom, where he forcibly touched and kissed her, pinning her against a wall. The victim was eventually able to fight off her attacker and immediately reported the incident to her parents. Rivera ultimately admitted to the incident, blaming his actions on too much alcohol. He has been arrested and arraigned and is being held on $50,000 bail.
