Staten Island, NY – At Least Minor Injuries Follow Collision on West Shore Expressway
Staten Island, NY (July 2, 2019) – While the extent of injuries is unknown at this time, police have confirmed that a motor vehicle collision took place on the West Shore Expressway in Staten Island on Tuesday morning, July 2nd. The crash happened in the vicinity of Victory Boulevard for unknown reasons.
At this time, it is believed that no more than two vehicles were involved in the collision which caused a severe traffic delay as responders arrived at the scene. A spokesman for the FDNY stated that emergency crews were at the scene for over an hour working to assist any injured parties.
Neither the number of people involved nor the seriousness of injuries have been reported, as the details surrounding the incident is under investigation. No further information has been released.
