Caroga, NY – Police Investigating Fatal Motorcycle Accident on Highway 10

Caroga, NY (June 25, 2019) – Authorities are actively investigating a deadly crash between a motorcyclist and a motor vehicle that took place in front of Caroga Town Hall on Monday morning, June 24th. The accident happened on Highway 10 in the town of Caroga around 11:30 a.m.

According to police, a vehicle was attempting to make a left turn into the town hall’s parking lot off of State Route 10 when it collided with a motorcycle. The motorcyclist, later identified as Daniel Warner, 70, suffered serious injuries as medical staff from the Nathan Littauer Primary Care Center, as well as a passing motorist, attempted to save him. He was transported to a nearby hospital, where he was tragically pronounced deceased a short time later.

The driver of the other vehicle, identified only as an 82-year-old man, remained at the scene and was ticketed for failure to yield right of way. No further information has been provided at this time.
