The Bronx, NY – Fatal Pedestrian Accident Deemed Hit-and-Run on Austin Place
The Bronx, NY (June 16, 2019) – This morning, police arrived at the scene of a fatal pedestrian accident that took place at 581 Austin Place and took the life of one person.
Police said that an SUV struck a pedestrian and then fled the scene, leading to a police search for the driver who has not yet been found.
The accident took place this morning at 6:00 a.m. in the Woodstock section of the city. The pedestrian was severely injured and paramedics brought him to the Lincoln Medical Center, where he passed away due to his injuries.
Police are now searching for the driver of a green SUV in connection with the accident. Their investigation continues at this time.
