Midwood, Brooklyn, NY (June 13, 2019) – A total of 12 people, including a small baby, were taken to the hospital on Thursday morning, June 13th, following a massive fire that burned through three homes. Officials stated that the four-alarm fire broke out around 3:30 a.m. at a home located at 1488 East 17th Street.

By the time firefighters arrived at the scene shortly after 4:00 a.m., the enormous blaze had spread to the neighboring homes on either side house where the fire originated. Altogether, 170 firefighters from 40 fire units arrived to battle the blaze, while 25 EMS units also responded to the scene.
