The Bronx, NY – Multiple Injured in High-Rise Apartment Fire

The Bronx, NY (June 9, 2019) – Early this morning, around 1:00 a.m., multiple people were injured in a high-rise apartment fire that took place at 725 Garden Street. 

The blaze started at the apartment around the area of Crotona Avenue and Prospect Avenue in the Belmont area. The FDNY and other fire officials have said that the fire started in a trash compactor room on the 14th floor of the building.

Fire officials are still taking a closer look at the circumstances leading to the accident. They have not updated information on the conditions of those involved.

Information on the victims is not known at this time and the investigation continues.
