Ronkonkoma, NY – Man Killed in Fiery Accident on Veteran’s Highway
Ronkonkoma, NY (June 6, 2019) – Just outside the entrance to the MacArthur Airport, police stated that a person was tragically killed in a car crash on Wednesday night, June 5th. The accident happened on Vets Parkway at approximately 9:30 p.m., according to authorities.
Police stated that the driver of a Honda Accord was traveling westbound along Vets Highway when they may have lost control for unknown reasons. The driver ultimately lost control of the vehicle and ended up crashing into a utility pole near Johnson Avenue.
Emergency medical crews and police arrived at the scene where they identified the victim as Robert Nolan, 52, of Holbrook. According to authorities, Nolan was tragically pronounced deceased at the scene. At this time, the official cause of the accident is being investigated. No further information has been provided.
