Marcy, NY – Four Hospitalized After Two-Car Accident on River Road

Marcy, NY (June 1, 2019) – Four people were injured in a two-car accident that took place on River Road, according to authorities present at the scene of the crash.

The accident took place in the area of the local Dunkin Donuts. The Oneida County Sheriff’s Office was called to the scene to investigate.

At the time, 17-year-old Rae Smith was attempting to make a turn when her vehicle suddenly collided with a vehicle driven by Edward Scanio.

Both drivers and the passengers inside each vehicle were hospitalized with injuries, but they are expected to be okay. Police have issued Smith a ticket for failing to yield the right-of-way.

The investigation into the accident continues at this time.
