Clifton Park, NY – Two Dead After Car Crash at Intersection of Route 9

Clifton Park, NY (May 26, 2019) – Police confirmed that two people were killed and three hospitalized after a car crash at the intersection of Route 9 and Ushers Road.

At the time, state police confirmed that a vehicle had been traveling south on Route 9 when it suddenly left its lane of travel and struck a vehicle that had been traveling east on Ushers Road and was sitting at a red light at the intersection.

All five victims were in the second vehicle that was struck. The driver of the southbound vehicle has since been taken into custody.

State police say that charges are pending and their investigation into the accident continues.
