Brentwood, NY – Man Critically Injured After Being Struck by Vehicle on Washington Avenue
Brentwood, NY (May 20, 2019) – An unidentified man is currently in critical condition after being hit by a motor vehicle on Sunday night, May 19th. The accident was reported to have taken place on Washington Avenue at approximately 9:00 p.m., according to police.
Authorities stated that a 44-year-old man was attempting to walk across Washington Avenue, just north of Clark Street, when he was struck by an unspecified vehicle. The driver of the car involved remained at the scene and called for assistance after the collision.
Police and emergency medical crews were promptly called to the scene, where they transported the victim to Southside Hospital in Bay Shore. At this time, neither the identity of the victim nor the events that led to the incident have been clarified by authorities. The accident remains under investigation.
