Warrensburg, NY – 59-Year-Old Man Arrested for Sexual Abuse of a Minor
Warrensburg, NY (May 15, 2019) – A 59-year-old man has been arrested for the sexual abuse of a minor, according to authorities. Police announced the arrest of Dean Ackley, 59, of Warrensburg, on Tuesday, May 14th for allegedly having sexual contact with a 15-year-old child who he was reported to have known prior to the abuse.
Investigators stated that Ackley sexually abused the victim on May 13th at an unspecified location. According to authorities, Ackley is also accused of engaging in sexual contact with the same victim when the child was 14-years-old back in August 2018. Police have not elaborated on the details of the allegations against Ackley at this time.
Authorities reported that Ackley was arrested and has been charged with a criminal sexual act, as well as two counts of sexual abuse. Ackley was released on $5,000 bail after being arraigned on Wednesday, May 15th.
