Auburn, NY (May 10, 2019) – According to the Auburn Police Department, a convicted drug dealer in Cayuga County who is currently serving a prison sentence has been arrested on new charges of child sex abuse. 35-year-old Saleem Tariq Spencer, of Auburn, who is incarcerated at Collins Correctional Facility, is now facing charges of first-degree sexual abuse, as well as second-degree sexual conduct against a child.

Police announced the new charges against Spencer on Thursday, May 9th, following an investigation into allegations of child sex abuse. According to authorities, Spencer forced a child under the age of 13 to engage in various sexual acts with him on at least two different occasions in 2014 and 2015.

Police transported Spencer to Auburn for arrest processing, where he was arraigned and then taken back to Collins Correctional Facility in Erie County. No further details concerning the new charges against Spencer have been provided.
