Long Island, NY – Hit-and-Run Motorcycle Crash on Pine Aire Drive
Long Island, NY (April 28, 2019) – A man was seriously injured in a hit-and-run motorcycle crash that took place on Pine Aire Drive last night, April 27th.
The 63-year-old victim, whose name has not yet been released, had been driving his Harley Davidson motorcycle on Pine Aire Drive when he was suddenly struck by a black four-door vehicle that had been driving out of the parking lot of a local 7-Eleven. The accident took place around 10:45 p.m. last night.
The driver of this vehicle immediately fled the scene of the accident, headed westbound.
The victim was thrown from his motorcycle and into the westbound lane of traffic. He was immediately struck by a second vehicle, whose driver was identified as a 54-year-old woman from Bay Shore who stopped at the scene of the crash to cooperate with authorities.
Police are still searching for the first driver responsible for this accident.
Meanwhile, the driver of the motorcycle was taken to the Southside Hospital in Bay Shore with serious injuries. The accident remains under investigation.
