Glenville, NY – Three Hospitalized Following Fire at Apartment Building
Glenville, NY (April 22, 2019) – According to the American Red Cross, three people were hospitalized as the result of a fire that broke out at the Collier Apartments on early Sunday morning, April 21st. According to authorities, the flames started around 2:00 a.m. inside the complex located at 435 Ballston Road, prompting responses from firefighters, police, and emergency medical crews.
At this time, it is understood that firefighters were able to contain the fire to one apartment within the complex. However, other units were reported to have sustained smoke and water damage as a result, according to police. Emergency medical crews were promptly dispatched to the scene where they attended to three victims for at least minor injuries.
Authorities are actively conducting a thorough investigation into the fire which currently appears to have been caused by electrical problems. No further information has been reported.
