Victor, NY – Ontario Man Arrested for Attempted Rape of Teenage Girl

Victor, NY (April 22, 2019) – A man from Ontario has been arrested after attempting to meet an underage girl online for sexual purposes, according to police. Deputies stated that Nicholas Heberle, 29, was arrested on Friday, April 19th, after he attempted to have sexual relations with a police officer who had been posing as a 14-year-old girl on a messaging app.

According to authorities, Heberle had been speaking with an undercover officer via the messaging app who identified themselves as a 14-year-old girl from Canandaigua. Heberle was reported to have been extremely active on the app, as he messaged who he thought was a teen and stated that he wanted to perform various sex acts with her over the course of several days.

Heberle was stated to have initiated much of the contact and was arrested after asking the undercover officer to meet. The suspect has been charged with second-degree attempted rape and is currently sitting in Ontario County jail.
