Manhattan, NY – Woman Killed in Fatal Train Crash at Union Square

Manhattan, NY (April 20, 2019) – Around 3:06 a.m. today, a woman was struck and killed in a fatal train crash that took place at the Union Square train station.

According to police, the 21-year-old female was struck by the southbound train, which caused her to fall directly onto the tracks where she was crushed.

The woman, who has not yet been identified by authorities, died at the scene of the accident. An arrest was made in the same vicinity this morning but police have denied that it was related to the fatality on the tracks.

Police are still attempting to investigate what caused the woman to make contact with the train this morning.
