Schenectady, NY – Suspect Arrested for Rape at College Suites Apartment Complex

Schenectady, NY (April 18, 2019) – According to police, a 19-year-old man is currently in custody after he was arrested for the rape of a woman at the College Suites complex. The incident was reported to have occurred last Tuesday morning, April 9th, and the suspect was quickly arrested after police viewed video footage from a surveillance camera showing the man forcing his way into the victim’s apartment.

19-year-old Q’Arayone Lomack has been arrested and charged with burglary, as well as the rape of an unidentified woman who reported the incident. According to authorities, the victim, a student, was leaving her apartment at around 9:00 a.m. when Lomack, a former student, approached her and forced her back inside. Lomack then sexually abused and raped the victim. The victim was stated to have known her attacker, although she did not realize who he was at the time of the assault.

Lomack is currently scheduled to be back in court on April 26th and is currently being held in Schenectady County Jail on $15,000 cash bail.
