Rochester, NY – Teenager Struck and Injured by Car at Intersection

Rochester, NY (April 18, 2019) – A 15-year-old girl was sadly rushed to the hospital after being struck and injured by a motor vehicle on Wednesday night, April 17th, according to police. The incident was reported to have occurred at the intersection of Avenue D and North Street around 9:00 p.m.

The Rochester Police Department reported that officers had been summoned to the aforementioned location due to a call concerning a pedestrian being struck by a vehicle. After arriving at the scene, police learned that the driver of a Honda CRV had been traveling south along North Street when they entered the intersection. The teenage girl was walking or running across the street at the same time and was subsequently hit by the vehicle.

Emergency medical crews immediately transported the victim to URMC to be treated for a head injury. At this time, the girl’s injuries appear to be non-life-threatening and the driver of the Honda is not expected to face any charges in relation to this incident.
