Riverhead, NY (April 17, 2019) – According to police, the Suffolk County correction officer who was recently charged with the ongoing sexual abuse of a young boy over several years is now facing new charges from an alleged second victim. 55-year-old Robert Weis was charged earlier this month for the sexual abuse of a friend’s child from the time the boy was 7 until 16, and on Wednesday, April 17th, another alleged victim came forward, according to authorities.

Police stated that a second victim has reported being sodomized by Weis on numerous occasions, beginning when he was the age of 12. Investigators also discovered child pornography in Weis’ home, of which boys were being sexually abused in the suspects’ basement. At this time, it is believed that up to at least five other children were also victims of Weis.

According to authorities, Weis had been a certified foster parent from 2006 until at least 2013. It is believed that this may have allowed him ample opportunities to groom and sexually abuse young boys. At this time, Weis faces up to 40 years in prison if he is convicted.
