Syracuse, NY – Crash on I-690 Leaves Woman in Critical Condition
Syracuse, NY (April 10, 2019) – According to police, a 52-year-old woman has been taken to the hospital in critical condition following a motor vehicle accident Tuesday afternoon, April 9th, on Interstate 690. The crash was reported to have taken place shortly before 2:30 p.m., prompting immediate responses from both police and emergency medical crews.
Police stated that the woman had been traveling east along the interstate near Teall Avenue in a 2015 Kia when she struck a 2013 Ford sedan operated by an unidentified 67-year-old man from Interlaken. The impact of the collision pushed the Ford into a 2014 Dodge pickup truck being operated by a 53-year-old man from Watertown, according to police.
Emergency medical responders immediately transported the female victim to Upstate University Hospital, where she is listed in critical condition. Police have reason to believe that she may have suffered a medical episode during or after the crash. At this time, there has been no word concerning the conditions of the others involved in the crash.
