Glenville, NY – New Charges Filed Against Scotia Contractor Accused of Sexual Abuse
Glenville, NY (April 8, 2019) – According to police, the Scotia contractor who was arrested in March for the sexual abuse of a child while working on the job is now facing new charges. 26-year-old Zachary Cota, of Marion Boulevard, was reported to have been arrested on Thursday, April 4th, for two counts of course of sexual conduct against a child under the age of 11-years-old.
Cota, who was already facing a similar charge for sexual abuse in Rotterdam, has now been accused of engaging in sexual contact with two other children under the age of 11. The incidents were reported as separate and involve two different victims who were both abused by Cota from April 2017 to February 2019 in Glenville.
State police had already determined that Cota had sexual contact with a child under the age of 11 while working as a contractor in the town of Rotterdam. These new charges come only two weeks after the prior, and Cota has now been arraigned and is being held without bail, according to police.
