Portville, NY – Two People Receive Smoke Inhalation Injuries After Fire
Portville, NY (April 7, 2019) – Last night, April 6th, around 8:30 p.m., multiple entities responded to the scene of a fire where two people received smoke inhalation injuries.
The two-story home at 1026 Portville-Olean Road caught on fire for reasons that are still under investigation. The incident was initially reported on the scanner around 8:30 p.m. after being called in by a neighbor who witnessed it.
Various units were called to the scene of the fire, including Portville, Weston Mills, Eldred, Clarksville, and more as it blazed out of control.
Tankers worked to douse the flames and protected nearby homes from the fire. The house was left vastly charred.
Two people were taken to the hospital after receiving smoke inhalation injuries and there has been no further word on their conditions.
Police continue to investigate the fire at this time.
