Brooklyn, NY – Boy Struck in Pedestrian Accident and Thrown Several Feet
Brooklyn, NY (April 6, 2019) – Pedestrian accidents happen to come with some of the most horrific and life-changing injuries and can even lead to fatalities in the worst cases. This is why you are afforded rights after your life has been changed by one of these accidents.
A young boy was struck in a pedestrian accident when a vehicle came through at a crosswalk. He is expected to be okay.
At the time of the accident, the 12-year-old boy was crossing 19th Avenue near the corner of 54th Street. A vehicle was stopped in the area and caught the incident on dashcam. The video shows the boy looking left for oncoming cars and starting to cross the street.
Suddenly, the boy was struck by a black vehicle that came from the right. He was thrown several feet through the air.
The vehicle immediately stopped and the driver stayed at the scene of the crash. The boy, though injured, was able to get up on his feet and hobble over to the sidewalk until responders arrived.
Police continue to investigate the circumstances leading up to this accident.
