Staten Island, NY – New Brighton Man Charged with Sexually Abusing Young Girl

Staten Island, NY (April 3, 2019) – Police have announced the arrest of a 28-year-old man from New Brighton who has been accused of sexually abusing an underage girl. On Wednesday, April 3rd, Estroberto Padilla, 28, was accused of having sexual contact with a child back in March 2019 on the North Shore.

According to the criminal complaint, Padilla performed oral sex on the girl, as well as touched her genitals under her clothing during the incidents. Police stated that Padilla allegedly knew the victim prior to the attacks and was formally arrested on March 25th. The suspect will now face a hearing in criminal court on April 9th, according to authorities.

Padilla is being charged with criminal sexual acts, sexual misconduct, endangering the welfare of a child, and sexual abuse. He is currently being held at the Brooklyn Detention Complex on $15,000 cash bail or $25,000 bond. No further information has been provided at this time.
