Otisville, NY – Woman Killed in Hit-and-Run on State Street
Otisville, NY (April 1, 2019) – A fatal hit-and-run pedestrian accident is currently being investigated, according to police. The accident took place along State Street on Sunday morning, March 31st, when a woman was reported to have been struck and tragically killed by a motor vehicle that proceeded to flee the scene without stopping to offer assistance or alert the authorities.
According to police, 34-year-old Kiera L. Babcock, of Otisville, was struck by a car on State Street Saturday night or Sunday morning, as her body was not found until approximately 7:00 a.m. Babcock was found on the side of the road with fatal injuries consistent with those of being struck by a motor vehicle.
Police and emergency medical crews were promptly dispatched to the scene. State police in Middletown and Mount Hope are currently in charge of the investigation into this incident.
