Mamakating, NY – Man Killed in Car Crash on Burlingham Road
Mamakating, NY (March 25, 2019) – On Sunday night, March 24th, police responded to a fatal motor vehicle accident that was stated to have happened at 10:48 p.m. The two-vehicle accident took place along Burlingham Road, according to authorities.
Police were called to the scene where it was discovered that a 2002 Chevrolet Monte Carlo being operated by 24-year-old William R. Truex, of Bloomingburg, had been heading north on Burlingham Road when crossed into the southbound lane. Bloomingburg subsequently struck a 2009 Sierra pickup truck driven by 36-year-old Melissa Delrosso, of Pine Bush.
Emergency medical crews were immediately called to the scene where they transported both victims to Orange Regional Medical Center. Following arrival, Truex was tragically pronounced dead due to his injuries. Delrosso was airlifted to Westchester Medical Center to undergo treatment for multiple fractures.
The investigation into this collision is currently ongoing as no further details have been provided at this time.
