Rockville Centre, NY – Drunk Driver Charged Following Pedestrian Accident near Sunrise Highway
Rockville Centre, NY (March 24, 2019) – Drunk driving accidents typically tend to be quite severe due to the fact that they happen at high speeds and also take place when a party is unable to properly control their vehicle. Being involved in one of these accidents can be incredibly traumatic.
On March 16th, around 8:45 p.m., police arrested a woman following a pedestrian accident when they discovered that she had been driving drunk.
The accident took place when 26-year-old Paula Watson, of Rosedale, had been driving drunk on the Sunrise Highway. Suddenly, she struck a pedestrian in a parking field.
The pedestrian was taken to the hospital with a variety of injuries and is expected to be okay.
Watson has since been charged with DWI and third-degree assault. Police continue to investigate the accident.
