Mastic Beach, Long Island, NY – Multi-Vehicle Crash Leaves Woman and Baby Seriously Injured
Mastic Beach, Long Island, NY (March 20, 2019) – On Wednesday, March 20th, a woman and a baby suffered serious injuries among several others following a multi-vehicle accident. The crash was reported to have happened around 11:00 a.m. at the intersection of Flower Road and Neighborhood Road.
The woman and baby were traveling south along Flower Road with two other passengers in a Nissan Altima when the vehicle crashed into a Toyota RAV4 at the aforementioned intersection. One of the vehicles overturned during the crash and one of the vehicles struck a Jeep in a garage in the area.
Two people who were in the RAV4, as well as the woman and the baby in the Altima, were immediately transported to a local hospital with serious injuries. Neither the woman nor the baby’s injuries have been clarified but both are in critical condition at this time. One occupant of the RAV4 suffered a broken back and broken shoulder, while the other suffered six broken ribs.
At this time, the events that led to this crash are currently under investigation. No further details have been provided concerning a possible cause of this incident.
