Rochester, NY – Man Attempted to Rape Music Student in Piano Practice Room

Rochester, NY (March 8, 2019) – Inside of the Eastman School of Music last September 2018, a student was reported to have been sexually assaulted, strangled, and robbed, according to Rochester police. According to authorities, a man identified as Robert Sheppard committed the aforementioned crimes sometime in September and was arrested on Thursday, March 8th.

Sheppard has been reported as no stranger to the law, as he has been previously arrested several times. According to police, Sheppard attempted to rape a student who had been practicing piano at the time. The incident was reported to have taken place on Swan Street in the city of Rochester at an unspecified time.

The suspect was reported to have not only attempted to rape the victim but tried to use her credit cards in the town of Henrietta, according to police. There has been no further information provided at this time.
