Bronxville, NY – Former Priest Charged for Sexual Abuse of a Child
Bronxville, NY (March 5, 2019) – A former priest has now been arrested and charged on Tuesday, March 5th, in connection to multiple incidents in which he has been stated to have sexually abused a student at a local elementary school. Thomas Kreiser has been indicted on three counts each of sexual abuse and endangering the welfare of a child, according to authorities.
Investigators stated that Kreiser allegedly engaged in inappropriately touching a 10-year-old girl on school grounds on three separate occasions between September 5th and September 20th, 2018. The extent of the abuse has not been reported but authorities said that the victim was fully clothed during these encounters.
At the time the assaults occurred, Kreiser was employed as a Roman Catholic priest for the Archdiocese of New York, according to investigators. The Archdiocese was reported to have removed Kreiser from the parish since the allegations surfaced.
