Prospect-Lefferts Gardens, Brooklyn, NY – Woman Sexually Assaulted in Apartment Laundry Room
Prospect-Lefferts Gardens, Brooklyn, NY (March 4, 2019) – On Friday night, March 1st, a woman was reported to have been sexually assaulted by a man who is now being sought by law enforcement. According to police, the woman was assaulted at around 7:30 p.m. in the laundry room of an apartment building located in the vicinity of Lincoln Road and Flatbush Avenue.
The victim, identified only as a 30-year-old woman, had been doing laundry when the suspect walked into the room, exposed himself, and then demanded that she engage in a sexual act. The victim refused, at which point the suspect said he had a knife before sexually assaulting and attempting to rape her.
The victim fled the area and contacted a neighbor, who informed the authorities. The suspect fled on foot. Police have described the attacker as a black man with a light complexion, approximately 6 foot 4 inches tall, who is in his mid-twenties with a muscular build. He was wearing black sweatpants, a black sweatshirt, and a black hat at the time of the incident.
