Roosevelt, NY – Police Officer Dragged by SUV in Pedestrian Accident on West Pennywood Avenue
Roosevelt, NY (March 2, 2019) – Police say that an officer was dragged by an SUV in a pedestrian accident that happened when he was conducting a traffic stop.
The incident took place on Friday on West Pennywood Avenue when Kenneth Grafton had been pulled over and sped away from officers, subsequently dragging one behind him with his vehicle. Grafton was followed all the way to Uniondale Avenue by police, where the suspect then crashed his truck into two parked cars and then flipped over.
Police arrested Grafton and found that he had heroin in his vehicle.
The officer was injured but is expected to be okay. At this time, their investigation into the incident continues.
