Sangerfield, NY – Two Injured in Snowmobile Crash in Oneida County
Sangerfield, NY (February 24, 2019) – Police reported that two people were injured in a snowmobile crash that took place in Oneida County around 11:59 p.m. on Friday.
The Oneida County Sheriff’s Office said that 20-year-old Kendra Soto suffered head injuries and was airlifted to the hospital with a variety of injuries.
The accident took place near State Route 12 when 20-year-old Nathan Rockwell was operating his Polaris off-road vehicle when he went over a hill and suddenly became airborne. Rockwell and Soto, his passenger, were immediately ejected. Though Soto received the most severe injuries, Rockwell also received shoulder and hip injuries, according to police.
At this time, the investigation into the matter continues.
