Bay Shore, NY – Firefighter Injured in House Fire on 18th Avenue
Bay Shore, NY (February 24, 2019) – We tend to sometimes forget that, aside from our loved ones, there are other parties who can suffer the devastating effects of house fires – including those who fight the fires themselves.
Officials responded to a house fire in Bay Shore, where they found that a firefighter suffered injuries while he was battling the Saturday night fire.
The call for the fire originally came in around midnight for a home off of 18th Avenue and Brentwood Road. Police are not sure if anyone was at home at the time. However, they have confirmed that the firefighter was the only person who sustained injuries.
Investigators are unsure of the firefighter’s condition at this time.
