Upper West Side, Manhattan, NY – Baby Girl Injured After Falling on Train Tracks Due to Defetctive Stroller
Upper West Side, NY (February 21, 2019) – Police have stated that on Thursday morning, February 21, the lock on a baby’s stroller malfunctioned, which resulted in the stroller rolling onto train tracks around 9:20 a.m. on the 1-Train platform at 72nd Street and Broadway.
Police reported that the baby had been in the stroller next to her parents when the locks failed and the stroller rolled onto the tracks. The father went onto the tracks and saved his daughter immediately after witnessing the ordeal, and thankfully neither party made contact with a train.
Unfortunately, the baby sustained a bump on the back of her head and was immediately transported to Lenox Hill Hospital to be evaluated. The current condition of the child has not been stated, as no further information has been provided at this time.
