Marion, NY – House Fire on Cory Corners Road Leaves One Dead
Marion, NY (February 18, 2019) – A house fire that happened on Monday afternoon, February 18, tragically claimed the life of one person. The fire was reported to have started around 2:00 p.m. at a home on Cory Corners Road, according to authorities.
Multiple crews were immediately called to the scene of the blaze, which had fully engulfed the home by the time they arrived. At least one person was unaccounted for when responders arrived at the scene, according to family members. Emergency medical professionals were brought to the location.
Firefighters worked to extinguish the flames and one person was reported to have been killed as a result. At this time, only one person is believed to have died in the fire; that individuals’ identity will be released tomorrow. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
