Amsterdam, NY – Two Hurt in Tractor-Trailer Crash with Snow Plow
Amsterdam, NY (February 18, 2019) – On Sunday night, February 17, police were called to the scene of a truck accident that occurred after a tractor-trailer crashed with a snow plow for reasons that have not been verified at this time.
According to the New York State Thruway Authority, a tractor-trailer that had been traveling along a road in the town of Amsterdam struck the rear end of a snow plow. Authorities stated that this is the second time within the last week that a snow plow has been involved in an accident. Drivers are reminded to keep their distance at this time.
Police and emergency medical crews were called to the scene, where they found both drivers injured in the crash. The two victims were hospitalized, although no further details concerning their conditions have been released.
