Manhattan, NY – Police Officer Injured in Rear-End Car Accident on Harlem River Drive
Manhattan, NY (February 17, 2019) – Police reported that an officer was injured in a rear-end car accident that took place around 4:45 a.m. today.
The accident took place on Harlem River Drive, according to authorities. The police officer was about one mile away from Dyckman Street, trying to protect another vehicle in an unmarked black SUV. His vehicle was disabled at the time.
Suddenly, the driver of a sedan came up behind the vehicle and slammed into the rear-end, claiming they did not see the officer.
The officer was transported to the hospital in stable condition and is expected to recover.
