Wheatland, NY – Two Hurt in Crash on Scottsville Mumford Road
Wheatland, NY (February 13, 2019) – Late Tuesday night, February 12, police responded to a crash involving two vehicles, according to police. The crash was reported to have taken place at around 11:00 p.m. along Scottsville Mumford Road in the town of Wheatland.
Police and emergency medical crews were dispatched to the scene where authorities stated that one vehicle had crossed into the oncoming lane of traffic and collided with another vehicle near Union Street. Deputies said that the reason for the accident may have been due to road conditions.
Firefighters, police, and other emergency responders arrived at the scene where they helped extricate one of the victims. That driver was immediately rushed to a local hospital where they have been listed in stable condition at this time. No one involved was reported to have received any tickets and police are likely to be involved in a thorough investigation into the events that led to this incident.
