Manhattan, NY – Pedestrian Struck and Injured in Accident Involving Bus
Manhattan, NY (February 11, 2019) – A pedestrian accident was reported after a crash involving a bus took place on Monday morning, February 11, according to authorities. The injurious incident was reported at around 9:34 a.m. at the intersection of Second Avenue and East 36th Street.
Officials from the FDNY who arrived at the scene did not state whether or not the victim had been struck by a bus, however, one pedestrian was confirmed to have been hit by a vehicle. Emergency responders were stated to have been attending to one individual who had been injured in the incident, and a bus was reported to have been stopped in the roadway during the accident.
Emergency medical crews were able to confirm that one person was injured in the incident and hospitalized in serious condition. Police have not mentioned any information concerning the events that led to this accident, as the cause is likely under investigation.
