Bronx, NY – One Injured After Massive Fire at High-Rise Apartment Building

Bronx, NY (February 11, 2019) – A massive fire was reported to have broken out at a high rise apartment building on Saturday night, February 9, that left at least one person with injuries, according to authorities. The fire took place in the Concourse Village section of the South Bronx at the 773 Concourse Village East at East 156th Street for reasons that have not yet been determined.

According to authorities, the fire broke out on a balcony on the 15th floor of the 25-story apartment building. The building was immediately evacuated as firefighters, police, and emergency medical crews were promptly called to the scene.

Paramedics were able to confirm that at least one person suffered injuries that are likely considered to be minor at this time. However, there was no word concerning that individual’s condition or whether or not anyone else had been hurt in the incident.

Authorities are currently conducting an investigation in order to determine the cause of the fire. No further details have been provided at this time.
